After getting blown out 107-79 by the Boston Celtics on Sunday, forward Kyle Kuzma spoke to reporters about what went wrong for Milwaukee in the lopsided defeat.
The Bucks came out of the gate hot, building a 12-0 lead before the offense completely fell apart and Boston took over for the rest of the afternoon.
"Got to give one credit to them because obviously defensively they did a pretty good job knowing our plays," Kuzma said postgame. "We just didn't move the ball as well as we did in that first quarter."
The loss dropped the Bucks to 18-29 on the season, and it continued a troubling pattern for a team that simply cannot find any sort of rhythm on offense.
Milwaukee has now lost seven of their last eight games, and the problems run much deeper than just one bad afternoon against a good Celtics team.
Ryan Rollins led the Bucks with 25 points on an efficient 10-of-16 shooting, but he was the only bright spot in a game where most of Milwaukee's roster struggled to get anything going.
Rollins has been putting up solid numbers this season, averaging 16.3 points, 5.4 assists, and 4.5 rebounds per game, but it has not been enough to keep the Bucks competitive.
Kuzma finished with 16 points, five rebounds, and two assists, and while the numbers look decent on paper, his comments after the game tell the real story of a team that has lost its way offensively.
He has been averaging 13.5 points per game since coming over from Washington, and the fit in Milwaukee has not been what either side hoped for.
The Celtics improved to 31-18 with the victory, looking like contenders once again as Jaylen Brown dominated with 30 points and 13 rebounds.
Boston's defense held Milwaukee to just 79 points, the fewest they have allowed in any game this season.
With superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo still sidelined with a calf strain and not expected back until late February at the earliest, the Bucks are running out of time and running out of answers.
Milwaukee currently sits in 12th place in the Eastern Conference, well outside of the playoff picture, and the team needs major changes to get back on track.
The trade deadline is just days away on February 5th, and plenty of rumors have swirled around both Antetokounmpo and other Bucks players in recent weeks.
Milwaukee has been linked to several guards on the market, and the front office appears to be exploring every possible option to improve this roster.
For Kuzma and the rest of the players still suiting up for Milwaukee, the message is simple.
They need to move the ball better and execute their offense at a higher level if they want to have any chance at salvaging this season.
Right now, they look like a team that has given up hope, and the results on the court reflect exactly that.
The Bucks will look to snap their losing streak when they host the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night.
