Shakur Stevenson joins Zuffa Boxing on a multi-fight deal, giving Dana White's promotion its biggest star and setting up major future fights.

Zuffa Boxing has made its biggest statement since launching earlier this year, signing undefeated four-division world champion and lineal junior welterweight king Shakur Stevenson to a multi-fight promotional agreement.

The signing gives Dana White's upstart boxing promotion one of the sport's premier talents and further strengthens a roster that already includes lineal cruiserweight champion Jai Opetaia, welterweight contender Conor Benn, and several other notable fighters. It was a partnership that has been talked about for a while, that has finally become official.

Stevenson, widely regarded as one of boxing's elite pound-for-pound competitors, enters the deal riding the momentum of perhaps the biggest victory of his career. In January, the Newark, New Jersey native moved up to the junior welterweight division and dominated Teofimo Lopez over 12 rounds at Madison Square Garden, earning unanimous scores of 119-109 from all three judges to capture the lineal and WBO 140-pound championship.

The victory added another chapter to an already remarkable career. A silver medalist for Team USA at the 2016 Olympic Games, Stevenson has now captured world titles in four different weight classes, winning championships at featherweight, junior lightweight, lightweight and junior welterweight. His success across multiple divisions has established him as one of the most technically gifted fighters of his generation.

Following his victory over Lopez, Stevenson became one of boxing's most sought-after promotional free agents. Speculation surrounding a deal with Zuffa Boxing had circulated throughout the industry for months before Thursday's official announcement confirmed the partnership.

Stevenson made it clear that joining Zuffa Boxing is about pursuing the sport's biggest challenges and proving he belongs atop the pound-for-pound rankings.

"Line them up, one by one, and I'll beat all the top guys once I get them in front of me," Stevenson said. "With Zuffa Boxing, I'm going to go after the biggest fights in the sport and I will become the No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter in the world."

For Zuffa Boxing, the acquisition represents another major milestone as the promotion continues building its presence following the launch of its long-term partnership with Paramount+. Company president Dana White has repeatedly stated that his vision is to sign boxing's top talent, and Stevenson fits that blueprint perfectly.

White praised the signing and emphasized the significance of adding one of boxing's most accomplished champions to the promotion.

"Shakur is one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world," White said. "He's 29 years old, undefeated and already a four-division world champion. This is a massive signing for Zuffa Boxing, and I'm looking forward to promoting this next fight."

Although no official opponent has been announced, Zuffa Boxing confirmed that Stevenson's promotional debut will be revealed in the coming weeks. One possible matchup could see him face fellow southpaw Jose Valenzuela, the former WBA junior welterweight titleholder who is also signed to Zuffa Boxing.

Regardless of who stands across the ring, Stevenson's arrival immediately elevates the promotion's profile. At just 29 years old and still undefeated with a 25-0 record, he gives Zuffa Boxing one of the sport's brightest stars and a champion capable of headlining major events for years to come.

As the new promotion continues assembling elite talent, the addition of Stevenson signals that Zuffa Boxing intends to compete for boxing's biggest fights—and its newest signing is eager to lead the charge.
