Conor Benn will fight former two division world champ Regis Prograis on the undercard of the Tyson Fury return to the Ring in April.

It didn't take long for Turki Alalshikh and Ring Magazine to find an opponent and place for newly signed Conor Benn on a prominent fight card. This, as the announcement came Thursday mid-day in the U.K. that Benn will battle former two time world champ Regis Prograis in the co-feature of former heavyweight champ Tyson Fury's return to the ring to meet Arslanbek Makhmudov April 11th.

Alashikh and the Ring said in the release,

"The British welterweight Conor “The Destroyer" Benn (24-1, 14 KOs) returns to North London, where he famously defeated Chris Eubank Jr in his second bout, to face former two-time world champion Regis “Rougarou” Prograis (30-3, 24 KOs).

The highly anticipated heavyweight clash between Fury and Makhmudov, promoted by The Ring, will be streamed live, globally only on Netflix at no additional cost.

Benn said: “April 11th can’t come soon enough, returning to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium again, where I made history against Eubank Jr means everything to me. My last fight there showed the world exactly who I am and what I’m about. Fighting on the biggest stages, in the biggest shows, I fear no one! I’m fully locked in and ready to deliver another statement performance.”

Prograis said, “Last time I fought in London, Conor Benn was on my undercard, so this is a full-circle moment for me. But this circle will close with me teaching him a lesson on April 11th. He’s not fighting some weight-drained super middleweight. I am in shape and will bring home this victory.”

As we wrote previously, Benn agreed to leave British powerhouse promotion Matchroom Boxing last week to go with Zuffa Boxing in a heralded announcement.

However, Zuffa Boxing is being backed financially by Turki Alashikh and the Saudi Entertainment Authority, etc. And, it was Alashikh's announcement Thursday, with no mention of Zuffa anywhere in the media release or promotional signage, etc.

Further, neither Fury nor Benn are signed to any long term agreement with Zuffa Boxing.

As the for the Benn matchup with Prograis, the 29 year old son of former world champion and English fighting icon Nigel Benn, is off the win of his career in a 12 round, revenge decision over bitter rival Chris Eubank Jr. in November that improved his career record to 24-1, 14 KOs. That bout was also at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Louisiana native Prograis meanwhile, last fought and won a 10 round decision over veteran Jo Jo Diaz in Chicago last August. The 37 year old was beaten in his previous two fights by decision by England's Jack Catterall in October 2024 and before that was wiped out over 12 rounds by Devin Haney, who took his WBC junior welterweight crown in December 2023.

Prograis also previously held the WBA 140 lb. world title.

The release did not specify, but it's believed the bout will be a welterweight contest (147 lb.), where Benn has been hoping to get a world title shot down the road and if he's impressive here, Alashikh has options to put in a possible title fight later in 2026 with the likes of Haney, who now holds the WBO welterweight crown, or Ryan Garcia, who just dominated Mario Barrios to win the WBC 147 lb. title last weekend.

The April 11th card will be streamed worldwide on Netflix for no additional charges to subscribers.
