On Wednesday in Saudi Arabia, the two Americans, Brian Norman and Devin Haney, who will fill out the co-feature fight of the Riyadh Season "Ring IV-Night of Champions" PPV card, worked out lightly for some fans and media.

Saturday night in Saudi Arabia the Riyadh Season "Ring IV- Night of Champions" co-main event will feature WBO welterweight Brian Norman (28-0, 22 KOs) and his toughest opponent to date, former undisputed 135 lb. champ, Devin Haney (32-0, 15 KOs). Those two were part of an open media workout ahead of this weekend’s high-powered four 12-round fight card live worldwide exclusively on DAZN PPV.

Haney, who also previously held the WBC super lightweight crown, enters this fight week with a calm focus, insisting that nothing about the moment has changed for him—except that it’s finally time to go to work. “I’m just happy to be here,” he said, emphasizing that Saturday night is all business. promising “I am going to go in there and put on a great performance… show how great I really am, and become a champion again.”

Motivation hasn’t been in short supply for Haney, especially after a grueling camp to get ready for the hard punching Norman. “I know how good Brian Norman Jr is, how hungry he is. I had to take it up two notches and really push myself,” he explained. Facing a highly ranked contender only fuels him further. “I don’t believe in tune-up fights. I want to fight the best and get back on the throne.”

Norman will fight at welterweight for the second time, as he defeated Jose Ramirez by decision in a largely dull bout in New York's Time Square back in May. And, he wants to shake that off Saturday night.

While Haney respects Norman’s ability and power, he’s confident in what he brings. “I don’t fear anyone… Brian will see something he’s never seen before.”

Meanwhile, the champ was very business like at the open workout Wednesday afternoon but said he's fine with all focus seemingly on Haney in the build up, “This is my territory,” he said, growing more energized as the moment approaches. “We’re getting closer to fight time—I get more and more excited.”

Norman has gained confidence with his last two title defenses by destroying Derrick Cuevas in three rounds back in March in Las Vegas and then, a booming left hook KO of Jin Sasaki in Japan in the fifth round in June.

It's as intriguing a fight between two well known, American champions as has happened in 2025. And, due to Jaron "Boots' Ennis vacating the division and his three titles, the winner will be in prime position to take over the welterweight division in the short term.
