With their pay per view main event less a month away, Isaac "Pitbull" Cruz and Lamont Roach met with the media virtually Tuesday. And, while they showed respect, both are confident they'll take advantage of the moment.

Mexican powerhouse and former world champion Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz and reigning WBA Super Featherweight World Champion Lamont Roach Jr. met with the media virtually Tuesday and  previewed their highly anticipated clash for the Interim WBC super lightweight title for December 6th.. The bout headlines a stacked PBC pay-per-view card on Prime Video from the Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, TX.

The 140 lb. matchup marks a pivotal moment for both fighters as they look to secure another signature victory and elevate themselves in one of boxing’s deepest divisions. For Cruz, it is another opportunity to demonstrate his ferocious, fan-first style. For Roach, it’s a chance to build on the momentum of his solid performance world-title triumph and prove he belongs among the sport’s elite.

During Tuesday’s virtual question and answer session, both Cruz and Roach expressed confidence and determination.

Cruz emphasized the importance of delivering an action-packed performance. “We’re looking forward to giving fans in San Antonio and all over the world the great show they deserve,” he said. Known for his relentless pressure, Cruz believes his activity level and preparation will be key advantages. “We’ve had a tough camp because Roach is a great opponent. But victory is our only goal. I’m coming to win, no matter what.”

He also welcomed Roach’s bold prediction of a knockout. “He says he’s gonna knock me out, so I’m gonna come after him with whatever it takes,” Cruz said, noting that his power and confidence have only grown in recent years.

Roach, meanwhile, spoke with equal conviction. “I’m here to show my last fight wasn’t just one good night,” he said. “Fans can expect a hell of a show. It won’t be anything less than spectacular.” He highlighted the work he’s done in camp against tough, aggressive sparring partners to prepare for Cruz’s trademark pressure.

Ultimately, Roach believes December 6 will showcase the full range of his abilities. “There are going to be a lot of aspects of my game you’re gonna see,” he said. “My goal has always been to fight the best. I was always going to reach this level—it was just a matter of time.”

With both fighters promising a high-intensity battle, their collision at 140 pounds shapes up as one of the year’s must-see main events.

The four-fight pay-per-view event features an impressive slate of world-class matchups.
