The Las Vegas Grand Prix is the super stage of the glitz and glamour of Formula One and all of its crossovers. Many celebrities love to walk the grid in the latest and greatest designers and shine in the bright track lights before enjoying some high speed racing. To stars alike, it can’t get much better than the Formula One Las Vegas Grand Prix.
Many stars jump at the chance to walk alongside the million-dollar cars and millionaires in the largest spectacle on the calendar. Some of the stars seen this year in the paddock include Beyonce, Jay-Z, Terry Crews, Magic Johnson, Jimmy Butler, Louis Tomlinson, Cynthia Erivo, Mark Wahlberg, Martin Garrix, Chris Briney, Jeremy Renner, and the F1 movie’s star himself, Damson Idris.
Actors are not a rare sighting on the grid in Las Vegas. In fact, at every turn there is someone who knows the screens like the back of their hands. Actor Terry Crews has been involved in Formula One for a while now, being engaged at many different pre- and post-race activities across the calendar.
In 2023 Crews had a great time at the Hungarian Grand Prix, performing excellently on a pre-race drill in the Red Bull garage. Since then, he has been a familiar face in the Formula One paddock at circuits across the globe.
Similarly to Crews, Mark Wahlberg has a history in the fast lane. He has hosted after parties for the Vegas Grand Prix since its modern beginning in 2023. In the past, Wahlberg has partnered with McLaren Formula One team to promote the grand prix by ‘stealing’ Lando Norris’s car and bringing it to his family home. Wahlberg’s daughter, Gracy, is a fan of the high adrenaline sport and its drivers, making it all family fun.
One of the more notable celebrity interactions was when Beyonce and Jay-Z visited with Lewis Hamilton on the grid. After friendly introductory matters, Beyonce enjoyed a hot lap around the high speed circuit with the seven time World Drivers Champion himself. The glamorous couple was later seen in the paddock enjoying the high speed adrenaline.
There was an unexpected appearance of the family-friendly and lovable characters Mickey and Minnie Mouse. Mickey conducted a post-race show at the famous Bellagio Fountains, the water streams perfectly lining up with the music with the Formula One theme integrated.
The pair showing up was no coincidence as the Las Vegas Grand Prix saw the launch of the Disney and Formula One collaboration. The collaboration officially begins in 2026, but merchandise lines debuted at the grand prix.
Sticking with the beloved family characters, F1 Academy partnered with Hello Kitty for the Vegas Grand Prix. A Hello Kitty mascot was seen posing with Susie Wolff, founder and managing director of F1 Academy, on the red carpet under the Vegas lights.
The same mascot waved the chequered flag at the F1 Academy reverse grid race. The racing group put out merchandise partnered with the Hello Kitty brand as well as a sponsored grandstand at turns 3 and 4.
