The Frenchman acknowledges that his rivals are far ahead in the championship but trusts in the opportunities that remain. The Sprint format in Singapore will require being attentive from the first minute.

Prix has acknowledged that the team is going through a complicated moment in the championship, with its direct rivals far ahead in the standings, however far from giving up, Gasly appeals to the opportunities that still lie ahead and the need to take advantage of every point at stake to reverse the situation.

"It's a new challenge in Singapore this time with the Sprint weekend, which means we have to be very attentive from the start and have the car within a good setup window" Gasly declared. The Sprint format that reduces the practice sessions and concentrates the action in less time, requires the teams and drivers to adapt quickly to the circuit conditions, in Marina Bay an urban night layout where tire management and strategy are key, that capacity for adaptation will be more important than ever.

The Frenchman also took stock of what happened in Malaysia where Alpine bet on a risky strategy that ultimately did not work out: "As a team we analyzed what happened and really took the positive aspects from the last weekend, where the car in general worked well. It wasn't the result we wanted but we made a bet, it didn't go well and now we are all completely focused on racing again this weekend" Gasly explained.

The French team needs a positive result to keep morale high and continue believing in its possibilities, the Marina Bay event with its demanding layout and its unpredictable weather conditions, could be the perfect scenario for Alpine to recover its course.

Gasly and his teammate, Franco Colapinto, face the weekend with the need to make the most of the opportunities offered by the Sprint format. The lack of practice forces the teams to be sharp from the first minute and Alpine cannot afford mistakes if it wants to compete with its direct rivals, the season is reaching its decisive phase and every point counts.
