With Isack Hadjar injured, Red Bull might have to make changes to their driver lineup in the upcoming 2026 F1 Dutch Grand Prix.

We might see new driver lineups when the F1 grid hits the ground running at Circuit Zandvoort.

Per motorsport journalist Erik Van Haren, Red Bull driver Isack Hadjar has sustained an injury to his wrist. This could force the French driver to sit out the Dutch Grand Prix, with Red Bull Racing promoting two of its current drivers to new seats.

With Hadjar potentially missing the entire weekend, we could see Liam Lawson take the vacant Red Bull seat. Reserve driver Yuki Tsunoda would then drive for Racing Bulls.

As of the time of writing, Formula One's official social accounts have yet to announce this Hadjar news. We'll update this article as soon as F1 and Red Bull Racing officially provide specific details.

Injury comes at a bad time for the consistent Hadjar

Athlete injuries are always unfortunate. But if the reports are true, Hadjar's injury comes at a time when he's in his best form so far.

After a shaky start to the season that saw him DNF twice in the first four races, Hadjar has bounced back nicely. He finished P5 in Canada and P4 in Monaco. Then, he finished at least P6 in the remaining five races before the summer break, including another fifth-place finish in the British Grand Prix.

Hadjar has been a beacon of consistency, something that Max Verstappen's teammates failed to do in the past couple of years. He has totalled 68 points in the first eleven races of the 2026 calendar. For context, Tsunoda only scored 33 points for Red Bull in 2025.

Lawson, Tsunoda could get their shots at redemption

Liam Lawson only drove two races for Red Bull last season, before being demoted to the Racing Bulls seat. This season, he has been the best of the rest. Outside the four frontrunning teams, Lawson has the most points in the midfield with 43.

His rookie teammate Arvid Lindblad has 23.

The Kiwi driver has certainly shown improvements this year, as he might be finding the new regulations better suited to his driving style.

As for Tsunoda, this is his opportunity to prove that he still belongs on F1's main grid. After an underwhelming 2025 campaign, the Japanese driver was relegated to the role of reserve driver for both Red Bull and Racing Bulls. For context, Tsunoda only scored 33 points for Red Bull in 2025. If Tsunoda could score points as a replacement driver for Racing Bulls, that would be a strong statement to make.

Hadjar has been a beacon of consistency, something that Max Verstappen's teammates failed to do in the past couple of years. He has totalled 68 points in the first eleven races of the 2026 calendar.
