The Hard Rock Stadium circuit has crowned four different champions in its four editions. Red Bull and McLaren are tied with two wins each. Verstappen is the top individual winner, while Leclerc and Norris follow him in podiums.
The Miami Grand Prix has become one of the most glamorous events on the Formula 1 calendar since its debut in 2022. The semi-permanent circuit built around the Hard Rock Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins, has witnessed in just four editions a competitive balance that reflects the power shifts in the modern era of the category.
Although the American race is not yet a decade old, it has already accumulated interesting statistics that show the alternating dominance of different drivers and teams. Red Bull's dominance at the start of the ground-effect car era was evident in Miami, but McLaren has responded in the most recent editions.
Individually, Max Verstappen is the most successful driver at the Florida track; the Dutchman won the first two editions, 2022 and 2023, at the height of Red Bull's hegemony. The four-time world champion also leads the podium standings in Miami with three appearances in the top three.
Behind Verstappen are the two McLaren drivers, Lando Norris, who won in 2024, and Oscar Piastri, who won in 2025, consolidating the Woking team's resurgence on the grid. Charles Leclerc, for his part, shares second place in historic podiums with Norris, with two each.
Other drivers who have managed to reach the Miami podium across its four editions are Carlos Sainz Jr., Fernando Alonso, Sergio Pérez, and George Russell. The variety of names reflects that, despite its short history, the American race has shared the spotlight.
In the constructors' section, the historical leadership is tied; Red Bull and McLaren have two wins each. The Milton Keynes team dominated the start with Verstappen's triumphs in 2022 and 2023, the Woking team responded with Norris in 2024 and Piastri in 2025, precisely in the years when the British team returned to the path of victory.
In terms of podium finishes, Red Bull also leads with four appearances among the top three; Ferrari and McLaren follow with three each; Mercedes and Aston Martin close the table with one podium each.
The Miami International Autodrome, which combines long straights, technical sections, and DRS zones that favor overtaking, has earned its place on the calendar thanks to the growth of Formula 1 in the United States, driven by the success of the Netflix series 'Drive to Survive'. The race reaches its fifth edition in 2026, with the expectation that a driver or team will break the tie. Verstappen could become the first three-time winner in Miami, while McLaren will seek to overtake Red Bull in the constructors' standings.
