Who will claim the 2026 F1 crown? Our team clashes with bold predictions for championships and maiden podiums.

World Constructors’ Championship Predictions

The WCC order can sometimes be somewhat predictable due to the noticeable gaps between frontrunners, midfielders, and backmarker teams. These gaps are reflected in our predictions as we all have different orders, but certain teams make up the front and back spots.

Camden's pick: Ferrari

I predict that Ferrari will win the 2026 championship. They have performed well in the pre-season and set some of the quickest laps times as a whole. I am also a huge Ferrari fan so betting against them feels wrong.

As for the rest of the WCC I believe that Mercedes will finish 2nd, then McLaren, Red Bull, Williams, VCARB, Haas, Cadillac, Audi, Alpine, and finally Aston Martin in 11th. With Aston Martin’s trouble before the season even starts, I think it might be hard for them to come back from.

Mimi: Mclaren picks up more accolades

Mimi predicts that McLaren will continue to hold the title for the third year running. Her next few closely align with mine, with Mercedes in 2nd, then Ferrari, Red Bull, Williams, VCARB, Cadillac, Aston Martin, Haas, Audi, and Alpine. She also predicts that Max Verstappen will continue to score most of the points for Red Bull, which is why they will not be in the top three.

Liana's Pick has Mclaren on top

Liana also thinks that McLaren will hold onto the WCC, not surprising given she is a diehard fan like I am for Ferrari. She, like the rest of us, thinks that Mercedes will finish second in the championship. She predicts Red Bull will be third, then Williams, Ferrari, VCARB, Haas, Audi, Cadillac, Alpine, and lastly Aston Martin.

World Drivers’ Championship

For the WDC, I believe that it is finally Charles Leclerc’s year to become a champion. He has the mindset of a champion, and hopefully, he finally has the car for it too. I think Max Verstappen will finish 2nd, with George Russell, and that it will be a close battle among the three of them. To round out the top ten, I predict Lewis Hamilton will be 4th, then Oscar Piastri, Lando Norris, Kimi Antonelli, Isack Hadjar, Carlos Sainz, and Alex Albon.

Mimi predicts that we might see a similar ending to last year with Norris winning WDC, Verstappen in 2nd and Piastri in 3rd. She believes Russell will be 4th, then Leclerc, Antonelli, Sainz, Hamilton, Hadjar, and Albon in 10th.

Liana also predicts that the top three will be the same as last year, but in a different order. She hopes Oscar Piastri will win the championship, with Norris in 2nd and Verstappen in 3rd. She predicts that Russell will finish 4th, then Leclerc, Antonelli, Hamilton, Sainz, Hadjar, and lastly Albon.

General Predictions

All three of us also made general predictions that may happen throughout the season. We all said there will be more maiden/unlikely podiums, and we hope Ollie Bearman will be one of them. Mimi also mentioned Gabriel Bortoleto getting his first podium, and I mentioned Alex Albon getting another podium, his first since the 2020 season.

Mimi’s other predictions are that Cadillac might surprise us. She says that they have been pretty good especially for a brand new team and that they seem confident. She also thinks that Alpine may have another early on driver switch, possibly Colapinto being replaced due to poor performance.

My other prediction is that Liam Lawson will again be outperformed by his teammate. Arvid Lindblad could have an upper hand as he doesn’t need to relearn how to drive an F1 car, he is learning for the first time which may help him in the long run.

Liana and I also made a prediction for the destructors champion, the team that has the most crashes or damage across the season. We both predict that Alpine and Aston Martin have the highest chance at earning this title. Alpin
