Charles Leclerc, Ferrari's star driver, is reportedly eyeing a new seat in motorsport.
In statements published by LastWordOnSport after the FIA gala, the Monegasque driver said the following: "I'm definitely interested in Le Mans; I've seen it several times. Obviously, it's been very special to race for the red team.
"To be here supporting our big family, after winning the WEC and having such a successful year, is incredible. The legacy that Ferrari has left in motorsport will remain forever, and I am very proud to be part of it.
In a way, it's now up to us [in F1] to live up to expectations, just like my teammates do in endurance racing,” he confessed.
Charles Leclerc has been in Formula 1 for eight seasons, and here we'll tell you how much he has earned at Ferrari based on the salary he has signed in his contract with Scuderia Maranello.
According to a publication by EL CEO, a media outlet specializing in business, the Monegasque driver will earn $34 million for the 2024 and 2025 seasons with Scuderia. In 2023, he earned $19 million, but in 2021 and 2022, he earned $12 million.
In total, throughout his career in the top flight, he has earned a salary of $129 million. However, we should note that this is only his salary, excluding bonuses or payments made by individual and team sponsors.
Remember that Charles made his F1 debut with Sauber in 2018, but since 2019, he has been racing with the Maranello team in the hope of winning the Drivers' Championship.
