All Roads Lead to Abu Dhabi cover image

The 2025 season culminates under the desert stars as the championship battle ignites for its dramatic, final sunset lap.

The Final Lights Out of 2025

As the paddock heads to the grand finale sunset lap in Abu Dhabi, there is just one thing on everyone's mind: Who will be the 2025 F1 World Champion?

Circuit of Championship Battles

Abu Dhabi is known for its many iconic championship battle races, one of the most recent popular and even controversial championship battles that took place in the Yas Marina Circuit was the 2021 Verstappen vs Hamilton battle. This resulted in a dramatic last lap championship decider that gave Verstappen his first ever F1 World Championship title.

Another Iconic championship battle that occurred in the Yas Marina Circuit was the 2010 championship battle between Alonso, Webber, Vettel and Hamilton, the first time in history that four drivers were in contention to win the championship in the last race. The championship was won by Vettel, who started in pole position and started 3rd in the championship overall.

Norris vs Verstappen vs Piastri

Who will win the 2025 F1 championship? Lando Norris only has a 12 point lead in the championship, which mathematically still puts Verstappen and Piastri in championship contentions which you can read further into in Camden Call's article.

Oscar Piastri can win, but only if Lando Norris finishes P6 or lower, and if Max Verstappen  finishes P2 or Lower. It's mathematically possible, the chances are low, but not impossible. Norris and Verstappen have the highest chance of winning.

The Race Conditions

Abu Dhabi is known for being a dry and hot race, which means there is a higher chance for fatigue for the drivers, and tire management struggles at least until the sun goes down and the night cools down, but this transition can change grip. Rain is extremely rare in the Yas Marina Circuit. Friday's practice is expected to be cloudy, but its expected to clear up for Saturday and Sunday. The track itself is a mix of slow corners and high speed straights

Lights Out

As the sun sets over Yas Marina and the final lights out of the 2025 season approaches, every lap will carry the weight of a year’s worth of effort, pressure, and possibility. The desert has crowned legends and broken hearts, and on Sunday, it will choose again. Norris, Verstappen, and Piastri all arrive with a chance to take home the win (some greater than others), but history has shown that Abu Dhabi does not follow a script. We are in for a wild, wild race on Sunday.

Who do you think will take home the championship this Sunday?
