Indiana has beaten Alabama by 35 points and Oregon by 34 on its way to Monday's College Football Playoff championship game, where they are a touchdown-plus favorite against Miami. Do the numbers support such a high line? Here's what both teams have done vs. the spread all season.

MIAMI, Fla. — Indiana's dream season has come to the end of the road, with just one more hurdle to jump over on its way to the school's first-ever football national championship. All that's left is beating the Miami Hurricanes on Monday night at hard Rock Stadium, the Canes' home field.

The 15-0 Hoosiers are favored by 7.5 points on Monday night. That's where the line started after Indiana crushed Oregon 56-22 on Jan. 9 in Atlanta to reach the final. The spread actually jumped to 8.5 points a few days ago, but has settled back down. The over/under is 47.5 according to the oddsmakers at Fanduel. com

Miami was ranked as high as No. 2 in the country before regular season losses to unranked Louisville and SMU. But here's a number that's worth paying attention to: The  Hurricanes are 3-0 straight-up as an underdog this season, including two playoff games, where they upset Texas A&M in the first round and No. 2 seed Ohio State in the quarterfinals at the Cotton Bowl on New Year's Eve.

Indiana has won and covered easily in their postseason run, which includes beating Ohio State in the Big Ten title game and crushing both Alabama and Oregon in the playoffs.

There's a lot to digest ahead of the Monday night title game. Here's how both teams have fared against the numbers this season:
