Brandt Snedeker adds Keegan Bradley and Jim Furyk as U.S. assistants, giving the 2026 Presidents Cup team serious Ryder Cup-tested leadership.
Brandt Snedeker just gave the 2026 Presidents Cup a little more edge.
The U.S. Team captain added Keegan Bradley and Jim Furyk as captain’s assistants for next September’s showdown at Medinah Country Club, loading the American team room with two voices who know exactly what these pressure-cooker weeks feel like.
And this isn’t ceremonial window dressing. This is strategy.
Furyk brings a heavyweight Presidents Cup résumé. He played in seven Presidents Cups from 1998 through 2011 and posted a 20-10-3 record, then captained the Americans to victory at Royal Montreal in 2024.
He’s also set to lead the U.S. Ryder Cup team in 2027, so this gives him another live look at how the next wave of American stars handles a team environment.
Bradley adds a different kind of juice. He was part of the winning 2024 Presidents Cup team and delivered the clinching point, then moved into the Ryder Cup captain’s chair last fall.
Few players understand the emotional swing of modern team golf better than Bradley, whose competitive fire has become part of his identity.
For Snedeker, this is about building a room players can trust. The U.S. has owned the Presidents Cup, winning 10 straight and never losing the event on home soil.
But streaks don’t protect themselves. They require buy-in, chemistry and the right leaders pushing the right buttons.
Medinah, of course, adds another layer. It’s one of American golf’s most dramatic stages, and the 2026 Presidents Cup will arrive with massive expectations.
Snedeker still has two assistant spots to fill, but this first move says plenty. He’s not easing into the job.
He’s building a staff with scars, swagger and serious team-golf credibility.
