Energy Transfer is stepping onto golf’s global stage as a Presidents Cup partner, joining Rolex and others before Medinah hosts in 2026.

Energy Transfer is making a bigger move into golf, and it’s coming on one of the sport’s loudest international stages.

The Dallas-based energy infrastructure giant has been named a Global Partner of the 2026 Presidents Cup, which will be played Sept. 22-27 at Medinah Country Club’s Course No. 3 outside Chicago.

The event will pit Brandt Snedeker’s United States Team against Geoff Ogilvy’s International Team in the 16th edition of the biennial team competition.

For the Presidents Cup, it’s another major corporate addition as the PGA TOUR continues to build out the event’s global footprint.

For Energy Transfer, it’s a chance to push its brand into a high-visibility golf setting while leaning into a sport where the company already has a presence through its relationship with Justin Thomas.

Thomas, a 16-time PGA TOUR winner and three-time U.S. Presidents Cup team member, has helped give Energy Transfer a recognizable connection to the game.

Now, the company is taking that relationship from player-level exposure to one of golf’s biggest team stages.

“As we approach the 16th edition of the Presidents Cup, we are proud to welcome Energy Transfer as a Global Partner of the PGA TOUR’s premier global event,” PGA TOUR EVP of Corporate Partnerships Dan Glod said.

“Partnerships like this play an important role in our continued efforts to enhance the Presidents Cup, aligning with organizations that share our commitment to integrity, excellence and elevating the game for our players and fans.”

That’s the corporate side of it. The golf side is simple: Medinah is a monster venue, the Presidents Cup has star-power built into the format, and the U.S. vs. International dynamic gives sponsors a stage that stretches well beyond a normal tournament week.

Energy Transfer, traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker ET, operates one of the largest and most diversified energy infrastructure portfolios in the United States.

The company said the Presidents Cup partnership gives it a platform to spotlight its work delivering energy safely and responsibly while expanding its reach in the worldwide game of golf.

“We are so pleased to partner with the Presidents Cup and the PGA TOUR,” Energy Transfer vice president of corporate communications Vicki Granado said.

“This is a special opportunity for us to expand our presence in the worldwide game of golf and align our brand globally with not just an iconic event, but with an organization known for integrity and performance. Those shared values are what drove our interest in this partnership.”

Energy Transfer now joins Barings, Forvis Mazars and Rolex as Global Partners of the 2026 Presidents Cup.

The 2026 matches will also carry plenty of intrigue inside the ropes. Snedeker, a nine-time PGA TOUR winner, will lead the American side as captain, while Ogilvy, the 2006 U.S. Open champion, will captain the International Team.

With Medinah’s Course No. 3 as the backdrop, the event will bring Ryder Cup-style energy to a Presidents Cup week that already has a bigger business lineup behind it.

For Energy Transfer, this isn’t just a logo placement. It’s a statement that the company wants a larger seat at golf’s global table.

And at Medinah in 2026, that table is going to be hard to miss.
