Augusta National unveils a major new player facility for Masters 2026, plus fresh course tweaks, new merchandise buzz and another menu item for patrons.
The 2026 Masters will still be defined by Augusta National’s beauty and pressure-packed golf, but this year’s biggest story off the fairways may be how the club has upgraded the player experience.
As Masters week begins, Augusta National is introducing a new Player Services Building, adding another layer of polish to the sport’s most iconic event.
The new structure, finished in time for the 2026 tournament, sits behind the practice area and gives Masters competitors a private all-in-one space for nearly everything they need during the week.
Locker rooms, dining spaces, lounges, physio rooms and fitness areas are all part of the setup, along with direct access from the underground parking area that debuted during the first phase of the broader project.
It’s a major addition that reflects how Augusta National continues to modernize without losing its trademark style.
On the course itself, the changes are far more subtle.
Augusta National made just one reported scoring adjustment ahead of this year’s tournament, moving the front of the teeing ground on the par-4 17th hole and trimming the listed yardage to 450 yards.
It’s a modest tweak, but at a place where every detail matters, even a small change can influence strategy late in the round.
Beyond golf, the Masters remains one of the sport’s biggest attractions because of the full experience.
The 2026 merchandise release is already drawing attention thanks to the latest Masters gnome, which includes a movable umbrella feature that should make it one of the week’s hottest collectibles.
The food scene is also getting a fresh addition.
Augusta National is rolling out a new candy bar for 2026, adding another low-cost treat to a concession menu already famous for favorites like pimento cheese, egg salad and the Georgia peach ice cream sandwich.
At a tournament built on tradition, Augusta National keeps proving it knows exactly how to make even the smallest updates feel like headline news.
