The Meijer LPGA Classic brings champions, top-ranked stars and 23 rookies to Grand Rapids for a loaded 144-player LPGA field.

The Meijer LPGA Classic is back in Grand Rapids, and this year’s field has the kind of depth that can turn a regular-season stop into one of the most entertaining weeks on the LPGA Tour calendar.

Blythefield Country Club will host the 12th edition of the Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give, with 144 players chasing a $3.25 million purse in Michigan.

And this isn’t just a week built around one or two headline names.

It’s a loaded mix of past champions, 2026 LPGA winners, top-25 Rolex Rankings talent and a rookie class that’s trying to crash the party fast.

Start with the history. Six former Meijer LPGA Classic champions are back in the field, giving the event a real “run it back” feel.

Carlota Ciganda returns after winning in 2025, while Lilia Vu, the 2024 champion, is also back.

Leona Maguire, Jennifer Kupcho, Brooke Henderson and Lexi Thompson round out a past-winners group that brings serious credibility to Blythefield.

Henderson’s name jumps off the page because she’s already won this tournament twice, taking the title in 2017 and again in 2019.

That matters at a course where comfort, sightlines and scoring rhythm can separate contenders from everyone else by the weekend.

The current-season firepower is just as strong.

Six of the 10 winners on the 2026 LPGA Tour schedule are in Grand Rapids, including Hannah Green, Jeeno Thitikul, Mi Hyang Lee, Gina Kim, Yana Wilson and Lottie Woad.

Green and Thitikul have already won twice this season, making them two of the obvious players to watch.

The rankings tell the same story. Ten players from the top 25 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings are entered, led by Thitikul at No. 2. Green sits at No. 6, Woad is No. 7, Miyu Yamashita is No. 8 and Minjee Lee is No. 9, giving this field legitimate star power near the top.

There’s also a major youth movement.

Twenty-three of the LPGA Tour’s 28 rookies are set to play, including Yana Wilson, Mimi Rhodes, Helen Briem, Youmin Hwang, Erika Hara and Michelle Zhang.

That adds a fascinating layer to the week because several young players won’t just be trying to make the cut — they’ll be trying to announce themselves.

Sponsor exemptions Taylor Kehoe, Katie Lu and Kiara Romero add more intrigue, while Monday qualifiers Xiaowen Yin and Morgane Metraux earned their way into the field.

The Meijer LPGA Classic has always had a fun, aggressive scoring feel. This year, it also has a field strong enough to deliver a Sunday leaderboard worth circling.
