The European team has finished another dominant day Saturday at Bethpage State Park as they tamed the Black Course all day and beat the Americans 3-1 in both sessions. The Europeans lead the United States 11.5 to 4.5 heading into the singles matches on Sunday afternoon.

Europe only needs to secure 2.5 points in the singles matches out of a possible 12 to retain the Cup. The United States needs to win 10 of 12 singles matches for the most glorious comeback in Ryder Cup history. Notwithstanding, no team has ever won more than 8.5 points in Sunday singles in the history of the tournament.

Hopefully, Scottie Scheffler and Bryson DeChambeau show up on Sunday and can fire up their teammates. The top two players on the United States team are a combined 1-7-0. They lost their fourball match Saturday afternoon as they were paired together.

Scheffler will be involved in one of the most highly sought-after matches on Sunday when he takes on Masters' Champion Rory McIlroy, who is undefeated in Ryder Cup play this weekend. The duo will be the fourth pair to tee off.

The Sunday singles schedule is as follows:

12:02  Justin Rose (EUR) vs. Cameron Young (US)

12:13  Tommy Fleetwood (EUR) vs. Justin Thomas (US)

12:24  Matt Fitzpatrick (EUR) vs. Bryson DeChambeau (US)

12:35  Rory McIlroy (EUR) vs. Scottie Scheffler (US)

12:46  Ludvig Aberg (EUR) vs. Patrick Cantlay (US)

12:57  Jon Rahm (EUR) vs. Xander Schauffele (US)

1:08   Sepp Straka (EUR) vs. J.J. Spaun (US)

1:19    Shane Lowry (EUR) vs. Russell Henley (US)

1:30   Rasmus Hojgaard (EUR) vs. Ben Griffin (US)

1:41   Tyrrell Hatton (EUR) vs. Collin Morikawa (US)

1:52   Robert McIntyre (EUR) vs. Sam Burns (US)

2:03  Viktor Hovland (EUR) vs. Harris English (US)

Hovland is questionable to play due to a neck injury he sustained in the Saturday morning session. He was a late scratch from the fourball in the afternoon. If he cannot compete on Sunday, Ryder Cup rules, namely the Envelope Rule, state that the match will be halved with each side receiving 0.5 points.
