The 10th edition of the American Family Insurance Championship returns to TPC Wisconsin with its two-man team format back for a second straight year.
That means 38 teams, three days, two best-ball rounds and one Saturday scramble that can turn the leaderboard into a fireworks show fast.
Tournament host Steve Stricker is back, and that alone makes this week feel like a Wisconsin golf party with a scorecard.
Stricker, who teamed with Mario Tiziani to shoot a ridiculous 56 in Round 2 last year, brings local star power and serious expectations.
Madison resident Jerry Kelly is also in the field, along with past champions Scott McCarron and Ernie Els.
Defending co-champion Darren Clarke returns, but with a new partner.
Thomas Bjørn, who helped Clarke win the 2025 title, is recovering from spinal surgery, so Clarke will team with 2026 PGA TOUR Champions rookie Ben Crane.
The biggest heat check belongs to Stewart Cink. The 2025 Charles Schwab Cup champion enters the week still sitting No. 1 in the standings for an 11th straight week.
He’s already won four times this season, including the Senior PGA Championship in April. Now he gets Zach Johnson, a two-time major champion and Champions Tour rookie, as his partner.
That pairing has “problem” written all over it.
TPC Wisconsin will play as a par 71 at 7,031 yards, with a $3 million purse and $600,000 going to the winning team, split $300,000 each.
Golf Channel coverage airs Friday from 6-8 p.m. ET on tape delay, then Saturday and Sunday from 2:30-5 p.m. ET.
Madison is getting legends, birdies and a format built for chaos. That’s a pretty good weekend.
