Tommy Morrison fired a bogey-free 63 to finish 29-under, crush the Evans Scholars scoring record and capture his first Korn Ferry Tour title.

Tommy Morrison didn’t simply protect his lead Sunday. He hit the gas, buried the field and introduced himself as one of professional golf’s most dangerous young players.

The 21-year-old former Texas star captured his first Korn Ferry Tour title at the Evans Scholars Invitational, firing a bogey-free 8-under 63 to finish at 29-under par.

Morrison defeated Dylan Menante by three shots while breaking the tournament’s 72-hole scoring record in just his fourth career Korn Ferry Tour start.

Morrison began the final round with a birdie blitz, making five straight to turn what could’ve been a tense afternoon into a personal highlight reel. He added another birdie at the par-3 11th before delivering the knockout punch with an eagle at the par-4 15th.

There were no bogeys, no nervous collapse and no opening for anyone behind him.

After sitting tied for second through 54 holes in each of his previous two appearances, Morrison entered Sunday with his first lead and played like he’d been closing tournaments for years.

His 29-under total of 255 broke Johnny Keefer’s previous Evans Scholars Invitational record by three shots. It also matched the sixth-lowest 72-hole score, both overall and relative to par, in Korn Ferry Tour history.

That’s a ridiculous accomplishment for someone who only recently arrived.

Morrison finished sixth in the 2026 PGA TOUR University rankings after three and a half seasons at Texas, earning Korn Ferry Tour membership for the rest of the year.

He’s now the fifth golfer to earn membership through PGA TOUR University and win during that same season.

At 21 years, 11 months and 15 days, Morrison also became the Tour’s youngest winner since Aldrich Potgieter captured the 2024 Bahamas Great Abaco Classic at age 19.

Morrison’s resume was already loaded before turning professional.

He won the 2024 European Amateur Championship, becoming the first American to claim the title, and finished runner-up to Luke Clanton at the 2022 North and South Amateur Championship.

Sunday showed he’s ready to do more than collect amateur trophies.

Menante’s 26-under finish would’ve been enough to win most weeks, but Morrison never gave him a realistic chance.

Ross Steelman finished third at 21-under and created his own piece of history by acing the 352-yard par-4 15th with a driver, just the sixth par-4 hole-in-one in Korn Ferry Tour history.

Even that couldn’t steal the spotlight.

Morrison arrived quietly through PGA TOUR University. He left the Evans Scholars Invitational with a trophy, a scoring record and the look of a player who won’t be staying on the Korn Ferry Tour for long.
