Jackson Koivun sits on the playoff cutoff entering the PGA Tour's regular-season finale, where every shot at Sedgefield Country Club carries postseason implications.

The PGA Tour regular season comes down to one week. For dozens of players, one tournament stands between the FedEx Cup Playoffs and an early offseason.

The Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, North Carolina, is the final opportunity to finish inside the top 70 of the FedEx Cup standings.

Those players advance to the FedEx St. Jude Championship at TPC Southwind in Memphis.

No player enters the week with more attention than Jackson Koivun. The 21-year-old rookie jumped into the top 70 by winning the 3M Open in his third PGA Tour start as a professional.

He followed with the Rocket Classic but failed to gain ground after two late bogeys left him at No. 70 with 535 FedEx Cup points.

He holds the final playoff spot by a razor-thin margin. One strong week secures a postseason berth. One poor week ends his season.

Andrew Putnam enters the week just outside the cutoff after missing the cut at the Rocket Classic. Mac Meissner remains within striking distance after a tie for 26th in Detroit.

Ryder Cup captain Keegan Bradley climbed closer to the top 70 with a tie for 15th at the Rocket Classic. Jason Day also enters the week needing a strong finish to extend his season.

The pressure continues further down the standings. Stephan Jaeger, David Lipsky, Tom Hoge and Matt Wallace all enter the week with a realistic path into the playoffs. Brooks Koepka faces an even steeper climb.

The five-time major champion sits well outside the top 70 and needs a huge finish to keep his season alive. Davis Thompson, Brandt Snedeker and Taylor Pendrith also need big weeks to have a chance.

The field is stronger than many regular-season finales. Defending champion Cameron Young returns after a season highlighted by a victory at THE PLAYERS Championship.

Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantlay, Hideki Matsuyama, Ben Griffin, Aaron Rai and Ryan Gerard add even more depth to the field.

The week also carries significance beyond the playoffs. Players who finish inside the top 100 in the FedEx Cup standings earn fully exempt PGA Tour status for next season.

Christiaan Bezuidenhout, Lucas Glover, Ben Kohles and Taylor Moore are among the players battling near that line with their playing status on the line.

By Sunday evening, every playoff spot will be decided. Some players will celebrate a trip to Memphis. Others will head home after falling a few points short.

The Wyndham Championship delivers one of the most pressure-filled weeks on the PGA Tour schedule because every shot carries consequences.
