Xander Schauffele tops the Baycurrent Classic power rankings as Min Woo Lee, Collin Morikawa and Hideki Matsuyama headline a loaded field in Japan.

The 2026 Baycurrent Classic brings the PGA Tour to Japan this week, and defending champion Xander Schauffele once again sits at the top of the list of players to beat.

Schauffele leads the PGA Tour’s latest power rankings heading into Yokohama Country Club, where 72 players will compete for an $8 million purse with no cut.

He won here last year and returns after another strong postseason, making him the natural favorite to repeat.

Right behind him is Min Woo Lee, who enters No. 2 after finishing tied for fourth at the Tour Championship and delivering 2.5 points at the Presidents Cup.

Lee also tied for 10th at Yokohama last season, making him one of the strongest course-and-form combinations in the field.

Collin Morikawa checks in at No. 3. The 2023 tournament champion finished tied for 14th at Yokohama last year and arrives looking for another big result after reaching the Tour Championship.

The international flavor continues with Sungjae Im at No. 4 and Japan’s own Hideki Matsuyama at No. 5. Matsuyama finished the FedExCup season with four top-seven finishes over a seven-event stretch before going 2-2-0 at the Presidents Cup.

Other major names inside the top 10 include Jacob Bridgeman, Justin Thomas, Wyndham Clark and Adam Scott.

Yokohama presents a different challenge than most PGA Tour venues. The par-71 layout stretches 7,322 yards and includes 13 par 4s, placing even more importance on accurate approach play and positioning.

Last season, players averaged 11.71 greens in regulation per round, while only about 34 percent of birdie opportunities were converted.

Wind dramatically affected scoring early in the tournament before calmer conditions led to much lower scores over the weekend.

This year’s forecast appears friendlier, with lighter winds and dry conditions expected.

That could make an already talented field even more aggressive.

And until someone proves otherwise, everyone is still chasing Schauffele.
