Angels No. 20 prospect Jake Munroe collected three hits, including a two-run homer, and drove in three runs for Mesa on Tuesday, continuing his impressive fall after a breakout minor league season.

Another promising Los Angeles Angels prospect is making his case for a bigger opportunity next season.

Third baseman Jake Munroe continued his impressive Arizona Fall League campaign Tuesday, collecting three hits and driving in three runs for the Mesa Solar Sox against the Glendale Desert Dogs.

Munroe, ranked as the Angels' No. 20 prospect by MLB Pipeline, also launched his second home run of the Fall League season.

The two-run shot came in the ninth inning and traveled 369 feet to left field, with an exit velocity of 108 mph.

Angels top prospect Arjun Nimmala scored ahead of Munroe on the homer.

The performance was highlighted by MLB Pipeline, which featured Munroe's three-hit, three-RBI night in a video released Wednesday.

Munroe also delivered an RBI single earlier in the game, although Mesa ultimately suffered a 10-5 defeat.

The latest performance adds to an encouraging fall for a player whose prospect stock has risen considerably over the past year.

Munroe, 23, enjoyed a breakout 2026 minor league season between High-A Tri-City and Double-A Rocket City.

He batted .289 with a .402 on-base percentage and .498 slugging percentage, hitting 19 home runs across the two levels.

His development earned him Baseball America's Angels Minor League Player of the Year award.

As previously detailed in a look at Munroe's breakout season, a mechanical adjustment involving his hand positioning helped unlock more consistent contact and power.

The improvements have carried into the Fall League, where Munroe has continued demonstrating the combination of hitting ability and plate discipline that made him one of the organization's most intriguing prospects.

His development has also drawn attention beyond the Angels' organization.

The Athletic's Keith Law praised Munroe's bat speed and power potential after watching him play in Arizona.

Munroe and Nimmala were previously identified as two early standouts in Mesa, giving the Angels encouraging signs from two potential future infield contributors.

For Munroe, the next challenge will be building on his success against more advanced competition.

After finishing 2026 at Double-A, he could position himself for a promotion to Triple-A Salt Lake next season.

Tuesday's three-hit performance offered another reminder of why his development has become an encouraging storyline for an Angels organization searching for young talent capable of contributing in Anaheim.
