Lucas, Peter and Bob discuss the Los Angeles Angels' recent moves as well as a potential trade for Minnesota Twins' outfielder Byron Buxton.

The Los Angeles Angels once again are moving quietly in the offseason.

Last week, the club made a handful of moves that may have gone under the radar for the average fan, so our trio of Lucas, Bob and Peter open the show looking into some hypothetical moves to keep fans hopeful of a splash this winter.

One suggestion was to trade for Minnesota Twins' outfielder Byron Buxton, to which Lucas pokes fun at the headline that suggests Angels' fans have endured quite a lull of an offseason compared to fans of other clubs across Major League Baseball.

Looking into Buxton's situation in Minnesota, it's unclear if the Twins would actually entertain trading the two-time All-Star -- but it does appear that the franchise is entering a rebuild and may want to move any assets in exchange for prospects.

Bob and Peter aren't exactly sold on any trade for Buxton, however, with Jo Adell being a solid center fielder and debating if Buxton would actually be an uprade or not. Let us know in the comments if you'd rather have Adell or Buxton, and your argument for either!

Looking into some actual moves made by the Angels, Los Angeles recently traded for New York Yankees' left-hander Jayvien Sandridge in exchange for cash considerations.

Peter is not a fan of the trade due to Sandridge's major league experience, which is only 2/3 of an inning in which he got smacked around. He does still acknowledge that there's potential to correct any issues with the 26-year-old, but overall thinks the trade was a head-scratcher.

In other Angels' news, the team has ended its deal with Main Street Sports Group, which Lucas notes could directly impact spending in the coming years.

Essentially, the team does not have a distributor for their local games, and MLB has mentioned it may step in to distribute games locally. Why this matters for the Angels is that the team won't receive advertising revenue, which directly affects how much ownership can spend on free agents and rostered players. For a team that has already been on the hot seat for a lack of spending, this couldn't have happened at a worse time.

Finally, looking into some positive news in Anaheim, the club signed a fan-favorite in Trey Mancini to a minor-league deal. The 34-year-old has not played in the majors since 2023, but has a shot to revive his career in Los Angeles. Our trio loves the signing and hopes Mancini can find success and work his way to the major league roster.
