Arrighetti had his second loss of the season yesterday in the series finale against the Royals. The game dropped him to 7-2, but despite taking the loss he pitched relatively well. He dealt with a lot of bad luck with soft contact and was let down a few times by the offense. Either way the clutch pitcher has still yet to collect a loss from having a brutal outing. Was it his best? No. But did he fall apart leading to a loss? No.

He gave up four runs on a season-high eight hits over six innings but still managed to rack up seven strikeouts while throwing 102 pitches. The runs were higher than usual but again, he dealt with some bad luck, not a fall apart performance.
It was the sixth time the Astros have been shut out this season. That said, aside from yesterday's performance, this was a pretty good road series for Houston.
The Astros now sit at 33-40 and kick off their series against the Tigers Monday evening back at Daikin Park. The Tigers are coming in at 29-42, making this a winnable series. The Astros just need a little bounce back once again. They have not been able to string more than a few wins together all season and desperately need a winning streak.
