Athletics Take Field for Spring Training Opener

On Saturday, the Athletics open their Cactus League schedule against the Chicago White Sox.

This marks the first time that Athletics manager Mark Kotsay will be able to see his players take the field for action against an opponent.

The White Sox won their Cactus League opener on Friday.

Not only will Athletics fans in Sacramento, California, be interested in this game, but so will the residents of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Their new MLB team will play this Spring Training season and get even closer to getting into their new home ballpark that's being built.
