The Jays had five nominations but no winners in the American League Gold Glove Awards.

The Toronto Blue Jays led the American League with five Gold Glove nominees, but they walked away with no winners on Sunday night when the winners were revealed.

It was somewhat ironic that the Blue Jays had five nominees, considering they led the American League in errors with 99. That said, each of the five players did have strong credentials, but again, there were no winners.

At pitcher, Jose Soriano was up for the award, but it instead went to Tanner Bibee of the Cleveland Guardians.

At catcher, Brandon Valenzuela was up for the award, but it went to Dillon Dingler of the Detroit Tigers. It's the second straight win for Dingler.

Up next for the Blue Jays

Monday (5 p.m. ET) is the deadline for team's to get into compliance with the 40-man roster. Toronto enters the day with just 38 players on the 40-man, meaning they can afford to add players as opposed to get rid of them.

Multiple teams will be looking to trim their rosters down, so the Blue Jays will potentially be able to capitalize on those roster crunches.

In addition, Monday is also the deadline to extend a qualifying offer to Shane Bieber if they want to. That one-year deal is worth about $23 million.
