The Blue Jays signed Tyler Rogers and traded for Chase Lee on Friday.

The Toronto Blue Jays continued their aggressive offseason on Friday by trading for reliever Chase Lee and signing reliever Tyler Rogers.

The Jays apparently aren't content just getting to Game 7 of the World Series, as they've been the most aggressive team in baseball over the first month-plus of the offseason. In addition to Lee and Rogers, they've signed pitchers Dylan Cease and Cody Ponce, and they are connected to several of the top offensive names on the market as well.

Here's a look at how the bullpen currently stacks up for John Schneider's team following the moves. Remember, you need eight relievers.

    Jeff Hoffman

About to turn 33 years old, Hoffman just finished up the first year of a three-year deal in Toronto, going 9-7 with a 4.37 ERA. He had 33 saves, striking out 84 batters in 68.0 innings. While the Jays were connected to Edwin Diaz, Raisel Iglesias and Robert Suarez, it looks like Hoffman will remain in the closer's spot.

    Tyler Rogers

The 34-year-old submariner spent the 2025 campaign with the San Francisco Giants and New York Mets, going 4-6 with a 1.98 ERA. He led baseball in appearances with 81 and his deception will be a major weapon late in games.

    Louis Varland

The 28-year-old appeared in seemingly every game of the playoffs for the Jays and he'll play a big role again in 2026. He went 4-3 with a 2.97 ERA for the Twins and Blue Jays, appearing in 74 regular season games.

    Eric Lauer

Now 30 years old, Lauer serves a valuable purpose as a swingman in the bullpen - and as a fill-in starter. He went 9-2 with a 3.18 ERA in 28 games in 2025. Given the roster crunch, the Blue Jays could trade him, but they won't just give him away as he fills a valuable role. He's in the final year of his contract.

    Jose Berrios

Currently booted from the rotation, Berrios is a right-handed version of Lauer. A career-long starter, he projects to be a long man in the bullpen or an injury replacement. He's a valuable guy to have on the roster, but they would likely trade him if they were able to move his $67 million contract. It's doubtful they'll get a real taker for that deal.

    Yimi Garcia

Now 35, Garcia made just 22 appearances in 2025 because of injury. He still figures to be a lock for the roster, but if Toronto keeps adding pieces, he could get squeezed out as he's in the last year of his contract. He went 1-2 with a 3.86 ERA, and he owns a 3.61 ERA lifetime.

    Mason Fluharty

Just 24 years old, Fluharty went 5-2 with a 4.44 ERA in 55 games. He has options, so the Jays could stash him in the minor leagues, but provided they don't add another lefty, he's the best option they have as a true left-handed reliever.

    The final spot

Left-hander Brendan Little, who has one option remaining is a candidate. Braydon Fisher, who went 7-0 in 52 games this past season, of course is an option. Lee is another option, and he has options remaining as well. Out of options pitchers including Tommy Vance and Justin Bruihl are possibilities, as is Spencer Miles, who was just taken in the Rule-5 Draft. Toronto also took Angel Bastardo in the Rule-5 Draft. The recently outrighted Yariel Rodriguez could also fit into this spot.
