We already know that second baseman Ernie Clement will represent the Toronto Blue Jays at the upcoming Major League Baseball All-Star Game, and while he's likely to have some teammates join him, we learned officially on Wednesday that he will have organizational company in Philadelphia.

It was announced that prospects Jojo Parker and Nolan Perry will play in the MLB Futures Game, which is a showcase event for the top prospects in the sport. It will kick off All-Star week on July 12 (12 p.m. ET) at Citizens Bank Park.

Thirty-eight of the 50 players selected are in the Top 100 prospect rankings at MLB Pipeline.

Still just 19 years old, Parker was selected No. 8 overall in 2025 out of the Mississippi high school ranks. He did not play in a game after getting drafted, so this is his first exposure to professional baseball.

Thus far, he's hitting .252 with a .392 on-base percentage at Single-A Dunedin. Through 64 games, he has nine home runs, 43 RBIs and 20 stolen bases. He's certainly showcasing the kind of speed and power combo that the Jays were dreaming about when they drafted him.

Well, Parker doesn't seem likely to debut until 2028 at the earliest, and it's unclear if anything will be changed by a potential work stoppage in 2027.

Andres Gimenez is under contract through at least 2029 and Kazuma Okamoto is under contract through the same time period. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is under contract long-term, so there's no real rush to bring Parker up. Fellow top prospect Arjun Nimmala is also working toward the big leagues and is currently playing in Double-A.

Now 22 years old, Perry was a 12th-round pick of the Blue Jays in the 2022 draft out of the New Mexico high school ranks. Pitching at each of Single-A, High-A and Double-A this year, he's 3-3 with a 2.47 ERA. He has made 13 appearances, one of which has come with Double-A New Hampshire.

He has a whopping 85 strikeouts in 54.2 innings.

The Blue Jays will be off on Thursday before heading to Seattle for a weekend series with the Mariners. Seattle is currently 44-43 and tied for first place in the American League West. It's going to be a rematch of the American League Championship Series from 2025, which the Blue Jays won in seven games.

The pitching matchups are not out yet, but it seems fair to assume that Dylan Cease and Shane Bieber will both pitch in the series. Kevin Gausman, who pitched on Tuesday, likely won't pitch.

The Mariners figure to send Luis Castillo, Emerson Hancock and Logan Gilbert to the mound in some order.
