With just 11 days until Opening Day, the Blue Jays are trimming down the Grapefruit League roster.

With just 11 days remaining until the start of the 2026 season, the Toronto Blue Jays are trimming down the Grapefruit League roster, making a series of moves on Monday.

Per the team:

ROSTER MOVES:

OF Jonatan Clase has been optioned to Triple-A

The following players have been assigned to Minor League camp -

LHP Javen Coleman

LHP Michael Plassmeyer

C Geovanny Planchart

INF Sean Keys

INF Charles McAdoo

INF Arjun Nimmala

None of these moves are especially surprising, though Clase has made his major league debut already and is trying to become a more regular part of the roster.

About Clase

A former top prospect of the Seattle Mariners, Clase was acquired by the Blue Jays at the trade deadline in 2024 for reliever Yimi Garcia, who has since signed back with Toronto.

Still just 23 years old, Clase is a switch-hitter with electric speed. He's played in 60 career games, hitting .224 with three homers and six stolen bases. He got 100 at-bats for the Jays in 2025, hitting .210.

About Nimmala

Just 20 years old, Nimmala was a first-round pick of the Jays in 2023. He spent all of 2025 at High-A Vancouver and is continuing to work on his bat at the professional level. He hit .224 at Vancouver over 120 games while socking 13 homers and driving in 61.

He will appear in Double-A in 2026, though a return to High-A at the start of the year is not out of the question.

He's the No. 3 prospect in the organization, per MLB Pipeline. He is the No. 77 prospect in the game and only trails Trey Yesavage (12) and JoJo Parker (45) in terms of Blue Jays.
