The Toronto Blue Jays' bullpen carousel has been an ever moving and ever-changing group of pitchers this season.

Due to injuries and inconsistencies with the pitching staff, the Blue Jays have been unable to maintain a consistent unit of relievers for an extended period of the season.

That trend continued ahead of Toronto's three-game series against the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field in Chicago.

The Blue Jays recalled left-handed reliever Brendon Little from the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons and optioned right-handed reliever Chad Dallas to Triple-A before game one against the Cubs on Friday.

Little has struggled in his few outings in the major leagues this season. In five appearances, he has a 24.55 ERA and has struck out six batters in 3.2 innings pitched.

Little opened the season on the major league roster but was optioned to Buffalo on April 5.

While with the Bisons, Little has posted a 2.31 ERA in 24 outings (one start) and has fanned 32 hitters in 23.1 innings of work. He's walked a high number of batters (19) but has reined in his earned runs allowed (six).

Little's struggles this season has come after he led Toronto in appearances in 2025. He had a 3.03 ERA and fanned 91 hitters in 68.1 innings pitched across 79 outings.

Dallas has had an eventful month that's already been filled with roster transactions.

The Blue Jays selected Dallas' contract from Buffalo on June 4, optioned him down to Triple-A on June 5, recalled on June 17 and optioned back down June 19.

Amidst those series of moves, Dallas made one appearance for Toronto. He struck out two batters, walked two and allowed one earned run on two hits in 3.2 innings pitched against the Atlanta Braves on June 4.

Despite Dallas having the lone major league appearance and not getting in a game his most recent stint with the major league club, it seems like the Blue Jays plan to use him in the future.

Dallas' one outing this season marked his major league debut. He was picked in the fourth round of the 2021 draft out of Tennessee.

Per a post on "X" from MLB.com's Keegan Matheson, Dallas will "likely be the next man up" when Toronto needs a reliever to take on multiple innings.

The Blue Jays pitching troubles have forced them to go deep into their minor league depth, and it looks like Dallas will be on call for when the club has to turn toward the minor leagues again.
