The Atlanta Braves have announced that newly elected Hall of Famer Andruw Jones will make a special appearance at Braves Fest 2026, which takes place on Saturday, January 31 at Truist Park and The Battery Atlanta.
The free event will feature a "Welcome to Cooperstown, Andruw Jones" celebration, giving fans a chance to honor the legendary center fielder just days after he received the call every ballplayer dreams of receiving.
Jones was officially elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame on January 20, 2026, after earning 78.4 percent of the vote on his ninth appearance on the BBWAA ballot.
The journey to Cooperstown was long for Jones, who barely stayed on the ballot in 2018 when he received just 7.3 percent of the vote, and his rise from that point represents one of the biggest comebacks in Hall of Fame voting history.
The Atlanta Braves finished the 2025 season with a 76-86 record, which placed them fourth in the National League East and marked their first losing season since 2017.
Despite the tough year on the field, the organization has plenty to celebrate with one of its greatest players heading to Cooperstown this summer, where he will be inducted on July 26 alongside Carlos Beltrán and Jeff Kent.
For fans who watched Jones patrol center field at Turner Field during the Braves' dynasty years, this moment has been a long time coming.
Jones was signed by the Braves in 1993 out of Curaçao at the age of 16, and he made his big league debut on August 15, 1996.
He introduced himself to the baseball world by hitting two home runs in Game 1 of the 1996 World Series, becoming the youngest player ever to homer in the Fall Classic at 19 years and 180 days old.
Over the next 12 seasons in Atlanta, Jones established himself as one of the best defensive center fielders in baseball history while also providing consistent power at the plate.
He won 10 straight Gold Glove Awards from 1998 to 2007, holds the all-time record for defensive WAR by an outfielder, and hit 368 of his 434 career home runs while wearing a Braves uniform.
His best season came in 2005, when he became the first Braves player to hit 50 home runs in a single season, finishing with 51 dingers and 128 RBIs to earn a second-place finish in NL MVP voting.
Braves Fest 2026 runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is free to attend, though tickets are required for entry.
The event will feature player and coach interactions, autograph sessions, live entertainment, baseball clinics, and access to areas around Truist Park that fans don't normally get to see.
Autograph sessions featuring Braves players are priced at $125 per person, with all proceeds benefiting the Atlanta Braves Foundation.
The Braves will also honor Jones with a bobblehead night at Truist Park on July 30 following his official induction ceremony in Cooperstown.
Jones becomes the eighth Hall of Famer from the Braves' dynasty era, joining former teammates Chipper Jones, John Smoltz, Tom Glavine, Greg Maddux, and Fred McGriff, along with manager Bobby Cox and general manager John Schuerholz.
