Biggest Heroes from Brewers World Series Game 2 Victory vs. Rays
Oct 25, 2026 11:00 AM

After falling behind early, the Milwaukee Brewers' relentless bullpen and timely blasts from Cooper Pratt and Sal Frelick fueled a gritty comeback in the Fall Classic.

Milwaukee Brewers fans have waited 44 years for this moment, and so far, it's been worth every second.

Despite going down 4-0 in the first few minutes of the game, Logan Henderson and the rest of this pitching staff would settle in.

Once again, the story of the game was Milwaukee's bullpen as the Tampa Bay Rays didn't score a run from the second to ninth inning.

Manager Pat Murphy's bold Aaron Ashby decision paid off in a big way as the southpaw netted his third save of the postseason in a gritty 5-4 comeback win for the Brew Crew.

Cooper Pratt

The obvious hero in this one is Cooper Pratt, though there could've been a much different narrative around him had this game not gone the Brewers way.

The only time this entire series where Yandy Diaz reached base was in the first inning of Game 2. Pratt had an errant throw which was far from his first of the postseason.

If Pratt makes the simple out to Jake Bauers, who knows how that first inning transpires.

At the end of the day, Pratt made up for his mistake by going 1-for-3 with a walk, run, and RBI.

Pratt's RBI was the go-ahead run as he drove in Brice Turang in the bottom of the seventh, so it was no ordinary hit for someone who was in Triple-A to start the year.

Sal Frelick

A trio of Brewers hitters finished this game with two hits, and one of those was Sal Frelick.

The bottom four players in Murphy's lineup drove in a combined four runs. Garrett Mitchell, Pratt, Frelick, and David Hamilton all finished with one RBI in Game 2 of the World Series.

When it comes to Frelick's RBI, it was also no ordinary hit. This is someone who hit just four home runs the entire regular season, but he pulled one out of his pocket at the biggest possible moment.

Frelick's solo shot in the sixth inning tied this game up at four, and without the contributions of him or Pratt, there's no way the Brewers come back to win this game.

Entire Brewers bullpen

If it feels impossible to score a run off this Brewers bullpen, that's because it practically has been this postseason.

Milwaukee needed relievers to cover six innings, and they did just that, allowing only four hits in the process.

The combination of JoJo Romero, Dustin May, DL Hall, Abner Uribe, and Ashby all had Henderson's back after he gave up four runs in three innings, though only three were earned.

This bullpen issued just one walk compared to the six batters they struck out, though it's worth noting Ashby had three of those six strikeouts.
