The Milwaukee Brewers recently provided injury updates on a trio of pitchers and three more position players.
The Milwaukee Brewers have no shortage of players on the Injured List.
As of Tuesday, July 21, the team officially announced injury updates on six players.
Outfielders Sal Frelick and Brandon Lockridge along with infielder David Hamilton are among the three position players with updated recovery times.
On the pitching side of things, starter Kyle Harrison received a new timetable for his return, as did relievers DL Hall and Joel Kuhnel.
Position player updates
Arguably the biggest injury out of these three players is Frelick for the Brewers. The 26-year-old right fielder went down with a shoulder injury, one that seemed to come back after the Brewers quietly worked on it earlier in the year.
Frelick was pulled from the team's first game back from the All-Star break, one that saw rookie Luis Lara replace him.
According to MLB.com's Adam McCalvy, Frelick will be undergoing an arthrogram on July 21 to "establish a diagnosis and plan for his shoulder."
Currently, all that's known is that his return is to be determined. At the time of writing, he remains on the 10-day IL.
Hamilton is also on the 10-day IL, but he's in the opposite spot of Frelick. The 28-year-old is nearing a return, and he's set to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Nashville on July 21. The plan is for Hamilton to play five innings in his first game back, and then the organization will take things from there.
Finally, Lockridge, who was transferred to the 60-day IL, will soon be joining Hamilton in Nashville. The 29-year-old hasn't played in the big leagues since May 8, but that could soon change as he begins his rehab assignment in the coming days.
Major pitching updates
On the pitching side of things, all of Brewers' fans attention are on Harrison. The 24-year-old has been sensational this season, but his placement on the 15-day IL changed everything. Injuries have plagued the California natives career, and it comes as no surprise that Milwaukee is taking a cautious approach.
The team revealed early August is his estimated return date. It's known that Harrison will throw a live batting practice on Saturday, July 25, and will then begin a rehab assignment on Friday, July 31.
Hall hasn't pitched a game for the Brewers since June 4, and he's going to have his next rehab outing on Wednesday, July 22, the same day that Lockridge begins his rehab assignment.
Finally, Kunhel, who has six saves this season, will officially be throwing his first bullpen on July 21.
