The Venezuelan power duo has rewritten the Milwaukee Brewers' record book.
To say that Jackson Chourio and William Contreras are a dynamic duo would be an understatement.
Chourio's batting average in the postseason isn't exactly the highest, but he's shown off his incredible power and has continued to give the Milwaukee Brewers life when they need it the most.
Had it not been for his walk-off in Game 2 of the National League Division Series, who knows if the team would currently be up 2-0 on the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series.
Milwaukee snapped its lengthy postseason road win drought in the NLDS, and William Contreras was a huge part of that victory.
Here in the NLCS, Contreras put the team on his back in Game 2 as the Brewers had an answer for everything the Dodgers threw their way.
Together, Chourio and Contreras have 10 combined postseason home runs, and with five each, they stand alone at the top of the franchise's playoff home run leaderboard.
Brewers playoff home run leaderboard
At the start of the playoffs, Chourio found himself surpassing Orlando Arcia and Prince Fielder, who previously led the way with four playoff homers.
He may only be 22 years old, but no one can take anything away from what he's done so far in his postseason career.
Chourio is no longer at the top as he's officially joined by Contreras, though it's worth noting the Brewers backstop reached his five playoff homers in two more games played with nine more at-bats.
Regardless, Chourio and Contreras are the leaders, and they're in no real danger of losing their spots anytime soon.
For reference, Jake Bauers, Brice Turang, and Christian Yelich only have six playoff home runs combined. They all have two each, so it would take an unreal end to the 2026 playoffs for either of them to catch Chourio or Contreras.
Contreras won Game 2 for the Brewers
Contreras, 28, is having an unbelievable postseason. He's coming off a game where he went 3-for-4 with a homer and drove in three of the Brewers' seven runs.
Keep in mind, the Dodgers only scored four runs as an entire team.
The Venezuelan native is slashing .391/.481/.783 with an unbelievable 1.264 OPS.
Three of his five postseason home runs have come this season. He's drawn more walks (four) than strikeouts (three) and has nine hits in his 23 at-bats.
Knowing Chourio went 0-for-5 in Game 2, the Brewers were sure glad to see Contreras stay hot as his fellow Venezuelan native is only hitting .200 with a .570 OPS this postseason.
