The Milwaukee Brewers' relentless offense chased Yoshinobu Yamamoto early, while a dominant bullpen stifled the Los Angeles Dodgers to secure a commanding 2-0 lead.

The Milwaukee Brewers outhit the Los Angeles Dodgers, 12-3, on a night that saw Yoshinobu Yamamoto chased after just 2.2 innings.

Yamamoto needed 75 pitches to record eight outs, something the Dodgers have seldom seen from their supposed ace.

It was far from the best start of Logan Henderson's career, and he committed a pair of errors making throws to first base.

In the end, Aaron Ashby recorded a five-out save as a two-run eighth inning allowed manager Pat Murphy to give Trevor Megill the day off.

This Brewers bullpen continues to be absolutely unstoppable, and this time around it was the bats that came to life as they picked up a huge 7-4 victory.

Brewers go up 2-0

After being swept in the National League Championship Series a year ago, the Brewers have taken a 2-0 series lead over LA.

No matter what, this best-of-seven series is at least guaranteed to return to American Family Field.

Obviously, that may not be necessary if the Brewers keep up at this pace.

The Dodgers sure need the off day on Tuesday, Oct. 13, as manager Dave Roberts had to use eight different pitchers in the game.

Kris Bubic is credited with a blown save while Brock Stewart is the one who took the loss.

On the Brewers side, JoJo Romero picked up his first win of the postseason while Abner Uribe secured his third hold.

Milwaukee had an answer for everything

Every time the Dodgers scored, the Brewers wasted no time answering. A first-inning run for the Dodgers was immediately answered, and then when the Dodgers took a 2-1 lead in the third, Milwaukee headed into the fourth inning with a 3-2 lead.

Come the fifth inning, LA scored a pair of runs, but the Brewers would score one of their own in the bottom half.

With this game tied 4-4 through five innings, a huge run came across for the Brewers in the sixth, and then they plated two more in the bottom of the eighth, which sealed the deal.

Milwaukee still left 11 runners stranded, but they were 6-for-15 with runners in scoring position.

William Contreras was 3-for-4 with a home run as part of his three-RBI night.

Christian Yelich's return to the lineup saw him go 2-for-5 with a pair of RBIs himself.

Brice Turang had three runs in this game, as did David Hamilton, with both of them going 2-for-3. Cooper Pratt was the Brewers' other player to have a multi-hit game.
