Miz threw 89 pitches in a six-inning outing that saw him allow just two earned runs on two hits. The Brewers flamethrower recorded six strikeouts, a surprisingly low total for him, but it's the number he's ended each of his last three starts with.
As for Chourio, Milwaukee's 22-year-old superstar went 4-for-5 with a pair of home runs. His batting average skyrocketed to .283 this season as he also finished with four RBIs and four runs.
Chourio's path to superstardom
His two-out, second-inning home run was a thing of beauty, but then Chourio did it again in the eighth inning, which further proved just how smart the Brewers were to lock him up to an eight-year, $82 million deal.
The Venezuelan native passed Brice Turang on the home run leaderboard as he's now up to 19 on the year. Keep in mind, those 19 have come in just 99 games as this is a guy who missed quite a bit of time to start the year after getting hurt in the World Baseball Classic.
Regardless, he's stepped up his game in a big way this season, one that sees him have career highs in his batting average, OBP (.345), slugging (.477), and OPS (.821).
In 142 fewer at-bats than he had a year ago, Chourio is one triple shy of a new career high, and three more homers here in 2026 would mark a career best year for the third-year big leaguer.
Misiorowski can't be stopped
Milwaukee changed their approach with Misiorowski a bit in order to save his arm, and it's a strategy that has paid off big time.
Somehow, his ERA rose from 1.68 to 1.73, so that shows just how good he's been this season. The 24-year-old has now won each of his last three starts; to say he's locked in would be an understatement.
Misiorowski is up to 14-5 on the year as he furthers his league-leading numbers in terms of ERA, strikeouts (222), and WHIP (0.75), but remains a few wins shy of a potential triple crown in addition to what should be a Cy Young Award-winning season.
