The Milwaukee Brewers have an elite talent on their hands, one that is gaining attention from ESPN personality Pat McAfee.

The 2026 campaign for Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Jacob Misiorowski has been a dominant, record-setting experience through his first 11 starts of the year.

Misiorowski leads Major League baseball with 100 strikeouts, he also holds the best opponent batting average (.152) and the second-best WHIP (0.83), trailing only Pittsburgh Pirates ace, Paul Skenes.

After becoming the quickest player to be named an All-Star in his rookie season in 2025, Misiorowski is even better now, and he recently drew praise from Pat McAfee.

"The Miz, what he's doing is fantastic," McAfee said on Thursday's edition of "The Pat McAfee Show" on ESPN. "Yeah, as he had a 50 over 100 mile-an-hour pitch night the other night."

Misiorowski’s outing that McAfee was referring to was against the St. Louis Cardinals on Memorial Day, when he struck out 12 batters while only allowing two hits, one earned run and one walk over seven innings of work. In the outing, 57 of Misiorowski’s 96 pitches reached or exceeded 100 mph.

"Yeah, I mean we may see that again," McAfee’s producer Ty Schmit said. "I don't know though, like, that's very hard to wrap your mind around. Like, the human body is not supposed to do that.

"I don't know how this guy stays healthy," Schmit added. "I don't know how his arm doesn't fall off and he has to like, physically reattach it before every start, but he is absolutely filthy."

In his outing against the Cardinals, MIsiorowski’s top velocity reached 103.4 mph, and he has routinely cleared 100 mph during outings throughout the season.

"He's an actual cannon," McAfee said. "He's a cannon."

At 6-foot-7, Misiorowski’s length lets him extend well over the mound on his release, which is another element Schmit highlighted.

"He's a gun and like a mixture of Gumby because he's like six-nine," Schmit said. "So, his body is like bendable and like goes in weird ways; a pliable cannon."

"Yeah, so in his release point, right? They're saying this is like beer pong if you were to be able to drop the ball over a cup," McAfee added.

The mound is 60 feet, six inches from home plate, and Schmit emphasized how much ground Misiorowski covers on his release.

"Yeah, the mound is 60-feet, 6-inches from home plate," Schmit said. "By the time he's releasing that thing, he's basically, like, 49-feet away."

Misiorowski's flamethrower approach has rapidly turned him into a premier ace for the Brewers and one of baseball’s rapidly ascending stars.
