Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Logan Henderson was a key piece in another win, this time over the Minnesota Twins.

The Milwaukee Brewers came out on the winning end of another low-scoring duel against the Minnesota Twins on Saturday 2-1, and much of their success came from the two pitchers that took the mound for them.

The game started with 24-year-old right-hander Logan Henderson, who made his fourth start of the season on Saturday. He logged seven strikeouts while allowing six hits, one earned run, and a walk through five innings of work. When his outing ended in the bottom of the sixth inning, right-hander Chad Patrick took over the rest of the way.

After the game, Henderson spoke with the media about his day on the mound and he started by addressing how he was able to work through situations with runners on base.

"Yeah, mindset is to get out of it, put up a zero and try to get back in and do what we can to win a game," Henderson said. "But yeah, the mindset was just bear down and find a way, really, that's all it was."

According to Baseball Savant, Henderson threw 84 pitches in the outing, 52 of which found the strike zone. He relied mostly on his four-seam fastball (38 pitches) with his changeup being the secondary pitch (29). At points, especially in the second inning, Henderson had to work hard to get off the hill.

After allowing a single and a double to begin the bottom frame, Henderson notched a strikeout before giving up a walk to load the bases. Then, he was able to escape by getting two consecutive strikeouts.

"Yeah, I mean, coming out of the second inning was definitely, I was tired a little bit for sure," he said. "They made me work there. But yeah, I mean, after that, it was like, ‘Alright, how can I regroup for the next inning?’ And same for the next couple."

For Henderson, the initial innings of his outing made him feel as if his pitches were not where they needed to be.

"Yeah, I didn't feel like I had my best stuff in that inning leading up to, honestly, again, I gotta go back and watch it," Henderson said. "I don't really remember all of it. But I felt that the change up was a lot better later in that game.

"Yeah, honestly, first three innings, I didn't feel like I executed many pitches at all," he added. "And I had a good conversation with Gary and Hooky and kind of found it the last, I guess, fourth and fifth inning. And made a little mechanical and mindset adjustment. So I was able to find it a little bit."

Henderson is part of a young pitching staff that, alongside Milwaukee’s defense, has largely been responsible for the Brewers’ success up to this point in the season. They are now 8-1 in their last nine games and will look to complete the sweep of the Twins on Sunday.

"I think we have some really great arms," Henderson said. "And the organization has put a lot of trust in us. And again, the defense is unbelievable. The guys we got behind the plate are incredible, and I think it's just the next man up mentality."
