Cy Young candidate Jacob Misiorowski returns to the mound following arm fatigue concerns, anchoring a Milwaukee Brewers rotation against the New York Mets.

The Milwaukee Brewers recently announced their probable pitchers against the New York Mets, and it includes a name that should settle fans down.

After missing the first series out of the All-Star break, Cy Young candidate Jacob Misiorowski is indeed scheduled to pitch against the Mets.

As part of a nine-game homestand to start the second half, fans at American Family Field will be able to see Miz take the mound on Tuesday, July 21.

Not only that, but former Brewers ace, Freddy Peralta, returns to AmFam as he takes the mound on Monday, July 20's series opener.

Brandon Sproat battles Peralta

Sproat, 25, is set to go head-to-head with Peralta in a high-stakes series opener. The Mets haven't been too thrilled with Peralta's performances this season, and that's to be expected as he's just 5-8 with a 4.66 ERA. The Brewers seemed to have moved on from him at the perfect time, especially with him due for a new contract after the 2026 season.

Sproat is coming off a three-inning start on Saturday, July 11. He's gone just 7.0 combined innings in his last two starts, so that's definitely something to monitor. For what it's worth, the Brewers do enjoy a day off after this series concludes.

Miz returns in game two

Misiorowski will make his first second-half start on July 21 in a game that will have the world watching. At the time of writing, the Mets are just 41-57, so they're not exactly lighting the world on fire this season.

After being scratched from a start and not pitching in the All-Star game, Misiorowski's "arm fatigue" had fans worried. Clearly, everything is okay as manager Pat Murphy and pitching coach Chris Hook have given him the blessing to return in the Brewers fifth game back.

Logan Henderson takes on Christian Scott

As expected, Henderson is the first Brewers starter to make a second appearance in the second half. He got things started with their 2-1 extra innings victory, a start that saw him allow just one earned run, which happened to be a solo home run, in his fifth and final inning.

Henderson was dealing with some cramping, but that seems to be all it was. With no injury in sight, he's tasked with pitching in the series finale against Scott, a 27-year-old righty. Scott is 3-1 on the year with a 2.87 ERA. His WHIP sits at 1.22, and he sports an incredible 1.7 WAR through his first 13 starts.
