Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Jacob Misiorowski had an improbable rookie season that he is still trying to wrap his head around.

On June 12, 2025, Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Jacob Misiorowski made his MLB debut against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Despite allowing four walks, Misiorowski had a good game. He pitched five shutout innings and struck out five batters, and the Brewers would go on to win, 6-0. From there, the 23-year-old product of Crowder College in Missouri would go on to make history in his rookie campaign in a way he could never predict.

After four more quality starts, Misiorowski was named a National League All-Star, replacing Chicago Cubs pitcher Matthew Boyd. With only five starts under his belt at the time, Misiorowski became the fastest player in Major League Baseball history to earn the honor.

“Yeah, I mean, it's that wild,” Misiorowski told AJ Pierzynski of Foul Territory TV. “I mean, I never thought, you know, my first year in the league I'd be in that talk of an All-Star. It's just, I don't know, it's insane.”

Through the five starts that led Misiorowski to become an All-Star, he produced a 2.81 ERA with 33 strikeouts and 0.90 WHIP through 25.2 innings.

By the end of the 2025 season, he had pitched in 15 games (14 starts) and registered a 4.36 ERA and 1.24 WHIP through 66 innings of work. He also appeared in three postseason games, where he logged a 2-1 record with a 1.50 ERA and a 0.83 WHIP.

For Misiorowski, his rookie year still feels like a dream he has not woken up from.

“No, no, we're close,” he said. “I think I'm still just like floating along. We're kind of you know, maybe like [the] second weekend, we'll finally like wake up and it'll feel real.”

Misiorowski has enjoyed early success. But he still has to deal with being picked on by Manager Pat Murphy, a trademark that comes with the territory of being a young player.

“No, he still treats me the same, still gives me [expletive] about everything,” Misiorowski said about Murphy. “It’s his love language.”

At 6-foot-7, Misiorowksi has earned different nicknames from his skipper.

“It's Forrest Gump,” Misiorowski said. “He's also like Daddy Long Legs. He's been calling me that for a while. You know, it's just anything to do with long-legged creatures. He just calls me that.”

Misiorowski’s teammates do not let him off the hook either.

“I was hearing my team just giving me [expletive] for dumb, dumb thing I was doing,” he said. “You know, the veterans let me know.”

As Misiorowski’s young tenure continues in Milwaukee, he is becoming a recognizable figure.

“Yeah, it's crazy. I remember, you know, first week we were in Milwaukee, and we were walking through Target just getting groceries — normal stuff — and there's a little kid and his mom ran up to me and was like, ‘Are you The Miz?’ (referencing WWE pro wrestler The Miz)

"And I'm like, yeah, and he's like 'I really thought it was you; no one else is that tall,'" Misiorowski said. "I mean, it's crazy. It’s a really cool experience."
