Cy Young favorite Jacob Misiorowski dominated St. Louis, securing Milwaukee’s 103rd victory and a first-round postseason bye as Brice Turang eclipsed the 100-RBI milestone in the finale.
The Milwaukee Brewers officially ended the 2026 regular season on a five-game winning streak.
Absolutely no one predicted this team to finish 103-59, but that's exactly what happened as Cy Young frontrunner Jacob Misiorowski did his thing in the regular-season finale.
Things got a bit dicey when Chad Patrick came into the game, but the Brewers gave Miz enough early run support so the team could pull out a 6-4 victory.
Neither of these teams had anything to play for in this series, but it's still great to see the Brewers firing on all cylinders as they are now able to skip the Wild Card round.
Misiorowski earns 16th win
The Cy Young hopeful finishes his first full season in the big leagues with an astonishing 16-5 record.
Misiorowski hit the 250-strikeout mark this game, further proving why he's one of the best pitchers, if not the best in the entire league.
No matter how young he is, Misiorowski put together one of the best regular seasons in recent memory, and manager Pat Murphy was thrilled to see him go 5.1 innings in this one after giving him such a short leash in his last few starts.
The Brewers pulled Misiorowski after he recorded his fifth strikeout of the game in the sixth inning. Officially, he only allowed two hits, but he did walk two batters as well.
DL Hall threw five scoreless outs, but then Patrick was pulled as he allowed four earned runs in 26 pitches.
Patrick only recorded one out, so Murphy called upon fellow former starter Shane Drohan to record his second save of the season. Drohan pitched a nearly identical line to Hall as neither allowed a hit in their 1.2 innings of work.
Brice Turang records his 100th RBI
It took until the final game of the year, but the Brewers superstar second baseman reached 100 RBIs in a single season for the first time in his career.
Gary Sanchez was the lone Brewers player to hit a home run in this one, but recently named captain Christian Yelich also drove in a run, and Jackson Chourio finished with two RBIs himself.
Chourio had three of the team's 10 hits, going 3-for-4 with two runs to go along with the RBIs.
Most notably, Sal Frelick was the only Brewers player in the lineup not to record a hit.
Garrett Mitchell drew the team's lone walk as they ended the year by sweeping the St. Louis Cardinals.
