Like their other outfield positions, the Milwaukee Brewers have plenty of interchangeable depth in right.

The Milwaukee Brewers are just days away from having pitchers and catchers report to the Cactus League in Arizona, and now, it is almost time to wrap up the position previews.

In recent weeks, I have taken the time to break down the depth chart at each position. Just two categories remain: Right field and designated hitter, and I will be diving into the former first.

Sal Frelick: In his third MLB season, Frelick took command on right field in 2025. The 25-year-old logged 134 of his 142 total games played at the position, with 128 of those games coming in a starting role.

Frelick played 1,117 full innings in center field and did so well. He notched a .990 fielding percentage with only three errors during that time, with his highlight moment coming in Game 1 of the National League Championship Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers when he robbed Max Muncy of a grand slam in the fourth inning and helped turn an improbable double play.

According to his Baseball Savant profile, Frelick demonstrates excellent range to go along with above average arm strength and value. Like many of his teammates, embodies the strength of the Brewers’ farm system and development, and it will be worth watching how he continues to grow heading into his fourth season.

Jackson Chourio: Chourio only played in 20 games (15 starts) in left field during 2025, a step down from the 63 (56 starts) he appeared in the season prior. However, he was still effective despite a much smaller sample size.

Through 133 full innings played at the position in 2025, Chourio produced a 1.000 fielding percentage with 29 putouts. His Baseball Savant profile demonstrates good range and above average arm strength. He is also incredibly quick, which makes covering ground in the corner a much simpler task.

Across his 83 MLB appearances in right field, Chourio has not committed an error. If the Brewers need him again at the position, they know he can be relied on.

Jake Bauers: Apart from his tenure with the Cleveland Guardians, Bauers has played right field to some extent at each of his stops, and that includes the last two seasons with the Brewers.

Bauers is a versatile veteran who has proven he can play right field well, though most of his MLB career has seen him at first base or left field. Through 75 career games (56 starts) at the position, Bauers has a .980 fielding percentage. If the Brewers need him there in 2026, he can make it happen.
