The St. Louis Cardinals parted ways with their only 2025 All-Star from last season, utility player, Brendan Donovan, in a three-team trade that sent him to the Seattle Mariners on Feb. 2.
The Mariners and Cardinals are set to play in a three-game series from April 24-26 at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, but Donovan won't be available.
Seattle placed Donovan on the 10-day injured list Monday (retroactive to April 18) due a left groin strain.
The injury and IL designation is the same as when he was with the Cardinals last year when he was out from mid-August to mid-September.
