The St. Louis Cardinals are recently in a stint of 17 consecutive games without a day off.

The Cardinals were recently swept by the Seattle Mariners and, to rest the starters, St. Louis is promoting right-handed pitcher Hunter Dobbins from the Triple-A Memphis Redbirds.

The news comes via a report from Roundtable Sports' own John Denton. It will likely be a one-start stint.

Dobbins was acquired by the Cardinals in a trade with the Boston Red Sox on Dec. 22 that sent first baseman Willson Contreras to Boston.

Dobbins began the year on the 15-day injured list due to continued recovery from a torn right ACL he suffered in a game with the Red Sox last year.

How do you feel about Dobbins' St. Louis debut?
