Saturday marks the 38th birthday of St. Louis Cardinals 2012 playoff hero, Pete Kozma.

Kozma hit the go-ahead RBI single for the Cardinals in game five of a 2012 National League Divisional Series against the Washington Nationals, which St. Louis to the National League Championship Series to face the San Francisco Giants.

Kozma was picked in the first round of the 2007 MLB Draft by the Cardinals. He was never able to find the form St. Louis expected of him when it took him in the first round, but carved out a career that spanned more than a decade with the Cardinals, New York Yankees, Texas Rangers, Detroit Tigers and then-Oakland Athletics.
