Entering this season, there was an almost universal expectation that the St. Louis Cardinals would be in a rebuilding stage and not contending for a playoff spot.

Currently, St. Louis is 21-15 and second in the NL Central behind the Chicago Cubs, three games back of first place. The Cards would also be in the second wild card spot if the season ended today.

At what point do you believe expectations for a playoff spot are reasonable and should become the goal this season?
