Beltran, who spent two seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals, earned induction into the Hall of Fame on Tuesday night.

Brady Farkas on the historic company for former Cardinals OF Carlos Beltran.

Former St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Carlos Beltran earned election into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y. on Tuesday night, earning 84.2 percent of the vote in his fourth year on the ballot.

He will join Andruw Jones and Jeff Kent, who were also elected to the Hall of Fame. The trio will be inducted as part of a ceremony in late July.

Beltran only spent two of his 20 years in St. Louis, but they were certainly impactful. He helped the Cardinals get to the 2013 World Series against the Boston Red Sox, hitting .290 in that World Series with a .400 on-base percentage. He had 56 home runs in his two seasons in St. Louis and he posted 181 RBIs.

History-maker

One of the best players of the late-1990s and 2000s, Beltran is part of some incredible baseball history, as noted by Sarah Langs of MLB.com:

highest career SB% since CS tracked in both lgs, 1951 (min 200 SBA):

Carlos Beltrán: 86.4% (312 SB, 49 CS)

Trea Turner: 85.6% (315 SB, 53 CS)

Mike Trout: 84.9% (214 SB, 38 CS)

Tim Raines: 84.7% (808 SB, 146 CS)

Jarrod Dyson: 84.4% (266 SB, 49 CS)

And there's this one as well:

400+ HR and 300+ SB, all-time:

Carlos Beltrán

Alex Rodriguez

Barry Bonds

Andre Dawson

Willie Mays

Those are just a laundry list of some of the best players to ever play the sport, which shows just how impactful Beltran was as a player.

A 20-year veteran of the Kansas City Royals, Houston Astros, New York MetsNew York Yankees, Texas Rangers, San Francisco Giants and Cardinals, Beltran hit 435 career home runs and drove in 1,587 runs. He also stole 312 bases.

A nine-time All-Star and a three-time Gold Glove winner, Beltran also won two Silver Sluggers, a Rookie of the Year and a Clemente Award. He won the 2017 World Series with the Astros, but that was shrouded in controversy because of the infamous sign-stealing scandal.

He had 12 seasons of 20 home runs or more.

Cardinals impact

It's unclear which team hat Beltran will wear on his Hall of Fame plaque - or if he'll even have one - but the Cardinals will be featured on his Hall of Fame plaque in at least a mention of his time in St. Louis. He will also assuredly mention his time in St. Louis in his speech on his induction day.
