The Chicago Cubs added right-handed reliever Andrew Kittredge to their bullpen after he played 31 games for the Baltimore Orioles.

On Tuesday, Chicago traded him back to Baltimore for cash. He played in 23 games for Chicago, finishing with an ERA of 3.32 with the Cubs this season.

One of his more important contributions of the year was in the NL Wild Card round, when he came in for the save in Game 3 against the San Diego Padres.

He didn't record any strikeouts but didn't give up any earned runs at the same time. The save gave the Cubs their first playoff series since 2017.
