I've been pretty clear from the jump that I wasn't a big fan of the Edward Cabrera trade.
But I have to say...given the Zac Gallen rumors heating up...would that not make the deal look even worse.
Signing Gallen gives the Cubs legitimately too many starting pitchers. More than they can roster. And if you could have signed Gallen all along to fill your need - a guy who only costs some money, why trade your No. 1 prospect for a far less proven arm than Gallen?
Anybody else feels like it makes the Caissie-Cabrera trade look bad for the Cubs if they get this done?
